Our Dad’s Dream

Our dad, Jon Loveberry, had a dream. He imagined a simple choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm—a pavilion, horse-drawn wagon rides, and a place where families could slow down during the busy Christmas season and spend some time together.

Our mom had a few ideas of her own. ❤️ She insisted families needed somewhere warm to come inside, browse, and shop. And from those conversations, the idea for our log cabin was born. What started as Dad’s simple vision for a Christmas tree farm was already becoming something more—a place where families could make an entire day of choosing their Christmas tree.

In 2001, Dad planted the first trees. At the time, there was no cabin filled with Christmas treasures, no Santa by the fireplace, and no generations of families returning year after year. There were rows of little trees, a lot of work ahead, and a vision for what this place might someday become.

Dad could see it long before the rest of us could. He once said to Mom, “Wouldn’t it be something if there were cars lined up on both sides of the road?” He imagined a day when so many families would come to Loveberry’s that the farm would be bustling with people.

Five years after those first trees were planted, Loveberry’s Tree Farm opened to the public in 2006. And eventually, Dad got to stand here and see those cars lined up along the road. He got to see his dream become a reality.

Over the years, the farm grew right along with the trees. Families came to choose their Christmas tree, ride the horse-drawn wagon, warm up by the fire, visit Santa, wander through the cabin, and make Christmas memories of their own.

Our dad is no longer here with us, but his dream is. We see it every season—in families who have been coming for years, in children who grew up visiting Loveberry’s and now bring children of their own, and in new families arriving for the very first time.

Twenty years later, we are incredibly proud to carry on what our parents started. Loveberry’s will always be more than a Christmas tree farm to us. It is part of our family, part of our dad’s legacy, and a dream that became bigger than even he imagined.

And every Christmas, we get to watch Our Dad’s Dream live on. ❤️🌲

Twenty years of trees, traditions, laughter, and families making Christmas memories together.
